Out and About: Science High School Consortium Holds Student Research Symposium at Rensselaer
The National Consortium for Specialized Secondary Schools of
Mathematics, Science & Technology held its annual student
research symposium on the Rensselaer campus June 1-4.
A national alliance of 96 member schools, programs, and
centers, the Consortium is dedicated to preparing high school
students to become leaders in meeting the challenges of the
future and to transforming mathematics and science
education.
More than 50 students were selected by their member
institutions to attend the symposium at Rensselaer. While on
campus, the students provided oral and poster presentations on
their research, engaged in interactive activities and
discussions with Rensselaer faculty, students, and staff,
attended academic workshops, and toured campus facilities.
