Rensselaer’s Lighting Research Center (LRC) held its fifth
annual light art show Feb. 27. Called “In the Mind’s Eye,” the
show featured 11 graduate students currently enrolled in the
LRC’s Lighting Workshop
“There are no constraints,” said LRC Associate Director Russ
Leslie ’80 in an interview with the Troy Record. “The
students decide what they wish to communicate and then design
and make their works of art using the lighting technology and
design skills they have acquired at Rensselaer.”
Established in 1988, Rensselaer’s Lighting Research Center
is home to approximately 40 experts and professionals in the
field of lighting.
