Rob Hradsky Named Vice Provost of Student Experience at RPI

Accomplished student life leader will join the Institute in mid-August

Rob Hradsky, Ed.D., has been named Vice Provost of Student Experience at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). He is currently Vice President for Student Engagement at Syracuse University. He will join RPI in mid-August.

Recognized by a number of professional organizations, Hradsky is known nationally for his work helping students succeed and flourish during their college experience. His professional experience includes student affairs, academics, and higher education leadership.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Rob Hradsky is joining the RPI team,” said Rebecca Doerge, Ph.D., Provost. “He is an accomplished leader with a proven record of engaging students outside the classroom.”

Hradsky will serve as an advocate for student development and success, support a team of student life professionals, and foster a community grounded in well-being and inclusion. As Vice Provost, he will drive the future of the Division of Student Life to create positive, lasting experiences for students at RPI.

Hradsky joined Syracuse University in March 2018, continuing a career of more than three decades in student affairs. He earned a doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s in higher education and student affairs administration from the University of Vermont, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from Loyola University Maryland.

In March, he was inducted into the ACPA – College Student Educators International Diamond Honoree Class of 2024. As a strategic leader and an innovative collaborator, Hradsky has held various leadership roles including at the ACPA and the ACPA Educational Leadership Foundation. His professional passions include creating exceptional student experiences and fostering positive organizational change.
