A glowing quantum computer enclosed in a glass chamber sits inside a restored chapel space. Stained-glass windows line the marble walls behind the illuminated system, highlighting the contrast between historic architecture and advanced computing technology.

Now streaming on PBS, Project Chapel chronicles the installation of the world's first IBM Quantum System One on a university campus at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).

The documentary follows the transformation of RPI's historic, century-old chapel — now known as the Voorhees Computing Center — into a home for cutting-edge quantum innovation and highlights the people, technology, and vision that made the milestone possible.

Through the story of this landmark achievement, Project Chapel explores the promise of quantum computing and its potential to help solve some of the world's most complex challenges.
