The Rensselaer Concert Choir invites the community to a concert event featuring choral music spanning 500 years at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17.

The concert — the choir’s first under the direction of newly hired conductor Nicholas DeMaison — will be held at the Chapel + Cultural Center on the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute campus, 2125 Burdett Ave. in Troy.

The concert repertoire will include choral music classics that span cultures and eras — from works by 16th-century Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi to 20th-century Hungarian composer György Ligeti.

The chapel provides a unique, intimate setting for the concert, which is free and open to the public.
