RE: Commencement 2017

This spring, Rensselaer’s 211th Commencement Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 8:15 a.m. at the East Campus Athletic Village Stadium. Please join us as a member of the Faculty Party.

Academic Regalia
You may use your own academic regalia, or the Office of University Events will order one for you free of charge. Regalia is obtained from an outside company, thus the deadline to place an order is April 7. Whether or not you order regalia, please complete the online form mentioned below so that we will know if you are planning to attend the ceremony. If you have a Ph.D. student and plan to attend the Ph.D. hooding exercise, you must order regalia. Regalia will be available for pickup on Commencement day in the robing room in the East Campus Athletic Village, starting at 6:30 a.m.

Parking
Parking will be available in the Parking Garage with shuttle service to and from the East Campus Athletic Village.

The President’s Picnic for the Graduates
Immediately following the Commencement ceremony, there will be a campuswide picnic for graduates, their guests, and the campus community. You are encouraged to join in the celebration.

The Office of University Events coordinates Commencement and appreciates your response to this invitation by filling out the RSVP form online no later than April 7. If you have any questions, please contact University Events at commencement@rpi.edu.
