Troy, N.Y. — Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s engineering,
fine arts, applied mathematics, and management graduate
programs were ranked among the best in the nation in the 2007
U.S. News & World Report guide to “America’s Best Graduate
Schools,” published online today.
The Graduate School of Engineering was ranked 37 in the
nation. Eight of the 11 engineering programs are ranked in the
top 25 (aerospace, biomedical, civil, computer & systems,
electrical, industrial, materials science, and mechanical), and
all 11 are ranked in the top 40 in the nation.
The Lally School of Management and Technology’s
entrepreneurship programs ranked 24 in the nation, and the
graduate program overall ranked 66.
Rensselaer’s applied mathematics program was ranked 20 in the nation. U.S. News & World Report reprinted 2003 data for many programs, including Rensselaer’s Master of Fine Arts multimedia/visual communications program, which was ranked eighth in the nation.
