Ben & Jerry's Co-Founder To Speak at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

March 13, 2002

Troy, N.Y. — Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc., will present “An Evening of Entrepreneurial Spirit, Social Responsibility, and Radical Business Philosophy” at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He will speak Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m., at the Armory on 15th Street. The event is free and open to the public.

Greenfield is co-author, along with partner Ben Cohen, of Ben & Jerry's Double Dip: Lead With Your Values and Make Money, Too. The pair built a storefront venture into an $160 million ice cream empire by making social responsibility and creative management strengths instead of weaknesses.

Greenfield's lecture kicks off Grand Marshal Week, April 5-14, a weeklong celebration that focuses on student elections for the next school year.
