The Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences (GSAS) program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is among the top in the country, according to the Animation Career Review.

The publication ranked GSAS among the top 20 programs nationwide, the top 10 on the East Coast, and number 3 in New York state. The undergraduate program came in 14th nationally among schools offering game design-related bachelor of science degrees.

Animation Career Review has conducted rankings of game design programs since 2013, and this year 153 colleges and universities were considered. The criteria for ranking included academic reputation, admission selectivity, employment data, graduation rate, value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness, and depth and breadth of the program.
