Recently, two teams from the Rensselaer Cybersecurity Collaboratory (RCC) competed in University of Connecticut's annual CyberSEED tournament. Hosted by the Connecticut Advanced Computing Center, CyberSEED brings together dozens of universities and colleges to compete in unique cybersecurity challenges for awesome prizes. Once again, Rensselaer’s teams’ results were impressive. 

RCC came in 6th place and won a $500 prize! The team’s members were Christopher Reed ’24, Taylor Mull ’25, Jason Lowell ’27, and Jordan Oberstein ’24. 

Technically Engineers came in 28th. The team’s members were Emily Goldman ’26, Jimin Lee ’27, Gavin Pascucci ’27, and James Fitzgerald ’26.

“I continue to be impressed by our cybersecurity competitors at Rensselaer,” said Brian Callahan, Ph.D., director of the Rensselaer Cybersecurity Collaboratory. “I encourage any Rensselaer students with an interest to get involved, have fun, win prizes, and gain valuable experience.”
