TROY, N.Y. — Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) has welcomed Dana Bodine as the university's inaugural Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective December 1.

Bodine’s appointment reflects RPI's commitment to RPI Forward, the university's strategic plan. "This is a transformational moment for RPI," said RPI President Martin A. Schmidt ’81, Ph.D. "Dana's experience driving growth at the intersection of technology, media, and innovation will be essential to achieving our priorities in RPI Forward, particularly as we expand our efforts to recruit students, faculty, staff and partners who recognize RPI as the place where bold ideas become reality." 

Bodine brings two decades of leadership experience in marketing and communications. Most recently, she served as Vice President at Trustpilot, a FTSE 250 global tech company, driving significant brand growth and business expansion in the US market. Prior to that role, Bodine oversaw marketing and PR at Pagaya, an AI-driven fintech. 

Previously, Bodine was Vice President of Marketing at Mastercard, where she led diverse portfolios spanning public-private partnerships, financial inclusion, startup engagement, and early-stage digital product development. Her work leveraged immersive storytelling, digital media, events and data visualization to connect with audiences and drive measurable impact. Bodine also shaped brand and digital strategy at some of the world's most influential organizations, including Time Inc., Apple, NBC, and The New York Times.

Bodine earned her degree in government and politics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
