Xavier Intes, professor of biomedical engineering and co-director
of the Biomedical Imaging Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has been promoted
to Fellow of the Society by SPIE, the international society for optics and
photonics.
SPIE annually promotes select members as new fellows.
This year, SPIE will honor 88 new Fellows of the Society. This honor is
given to members who have “made significant scientific and technical
contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics, and
imaging,” according to the society.
This promotion recognizes achievements by Intes in translational biophotonics.
