Dorit Nevo, Ph.D., has been appointed the acting associate dean for academic affairs for the Lally School of Management at Rensselaer.
Nevo has been a faculty member at Rensselaer since she joined the Lally School as an associate professor of management information systems in 2012. She received a Ph.D. in management information systems from the University of British Columbia and a master’s degree in economics from the Technion in Israel.
Nevo’s research focuses on technology-mediated collaboration and knowledge management, expertise location, and crowd-sourcing. Her research has been published in MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Communications of the ACM, MIT Sloan Management Review, and The Wall Street Journal. She represents Lally in collaborative work taking place across campus in the areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
She was also the former director of the M.S. in Business Analytics program and received numerous teaching awards at Rensselaer. Most recently, in 2017, she won the Rensselaer Trustees’ Outstanding Teacher Award, the Lally School Graduate Teaching Award, and the David M. Darrin ’40 Counseling Award in Celebration of CLASS.
