As Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute prepares to transition to a new and improved security app, the existing RPI Guardian app will no longer function as of September 1, 2019.

The RPI Guardian app was used by Rensselaer community members to submit requests and anonymous reports to the Department of Public Safety. Requests and anonymous reports can still be made through the Public Safety website. Additionally, Public Safety can be reached anytime at (518) 276-6611.

Safety escorts can still be utilized by calling Public Safety at (518) 276-6611 or by activating an emergency phone on campus.

Rensselaer will soon be transitioning to a more robust security app. Further details will be shared with the entire community in the coming weeks.
