The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has awarded $200,000 in Far-reaching Nuclear Engineering Excellence Scholarships to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 2019. Rensselaer is one of only 33 academic institutions to receive this type of funding from the NRC. 

The scholarship money will be used to support students’ studies, in an effort to encourage careers and research in nuclear, mechanical, and electrical engineering.

This continues a long-standing history of support by the NRC of Rensselaer students and education.
