Dr. Yinan Wang, Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has been selected as a Panel Fellow in the 2023 cohort of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of CMMI Game Changer Academies for Advancing Research Innovation (CGCA). The annual program hosted by the NSF aims to improve group dynamics during panel discussions, increase awareness of bias and identity, and enhance understanding of high-risk, high-reward ideas. Once trained, Panel Fellows will contribute to ensure that proposals are evaluated in a fair, competitive, transparent, and in-depth manner. Dr. Wang’s research interest lies in developing systematic engineering-driven machine learning methodologies with applications to advanced manufacturing.
