Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s School of Engineering will induct 200 new members into the Order of the Engineer at 6 p.m. on November 17, 2022. The event will take place in Darrin Communications Center (DCC) 318.

The Order of the Engineer was created in 1970 to foster a sense of professional pride and responsibility in engineers. Inductees will be presented rings and asked to recite an oath as a reminder to act ethically in their careers “and to serve humanity by making the best use of Earth’s precious wealth.”

The Rensselaer initiates are seniors in the School of Engineering and represent all seven departments. This group is Rensselaer’s largest to induct into the Order of the Engineer in its seven years of participation.
