This year, the Lally School of Management & Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will host a weekly dialogue series exploring new and emerging ideas in the world of management and business. The series will focus on “Doing Business in an Era of Significant Change” and will showcase innovation in diverse fields, including finance, technology commercialization, energy, information technology, healthcare, publishing, and ethics.

New program allows students to use Rensselaer ID card for purchases at local businesses With a plethora of cultural cuisines and eateries to choose from, the menu of downtown Troy, N.Y., has never been better. Today, with the implementation on a new off-campus dining program, the students of Rensselaer will find it easier than ever to enjoy the restaurants and other local businesses that the historic downtown has to offer.

Rensselaer Once Again Ranks Among the Nation's Top 50 Universities

For the 10th year in a row, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has been named among the top 50 universities in the nation, according to the annual U.S. News & World Report list of “America’s Best Colleges.” The Institute is ranked 42nd among all national universities. In addition, a Rensselaer education was given top marks for quality and affordability, ranked 30th on the list of “Great Schools, Great Prices.” The undergraduate engineering program at Rensselaer continues to be ranked in the top 25 in the country, ranked at 23 overall.

Abdoun Named Iovino Professor at Rensselaer

Geotechnics and earthquake expert Tarek Abdoun has been named the Judith and Thomas Iovino ’73 Career Development Professor in Civil Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The endowed professorship is one of the highest honors bestowed on a Rensselaer faculty member.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Announces Commitment To Support Veterans' Education

Institute among more than 500 colleges, universities, and public institutions participating in new Post 9/11 GI Bill Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has joined a national effort to make new resources available to military veterans and their dependents to attend college. Last June, Congress passed the Post 9/11 GI Bill designed to help participants pay for private colleges, state public institutions, and graduate programs. At Rensselaer, qualified applicants will be able attend the university at little or no cost.

Wallace Named Yamada Corporation Professor at Rensselaer

Systems and infrastructure engineering expert William “Al” Wallace ’61 has been named the Yamada Corporation Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The endowed professorship is one of the highest honors bestowed on a Rensselaer faculty member.
