RPI Graduate Student Premiers New Work at Venice Biennale

Jaehoon Choi, a Ph.D. student in the Electronic Arts Department of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, was selected as one of 10 young composers to develop and premier work at the prestigious Venice Biennale International Music Festival.

RPI To Host National Organic Chemistry Symposium in 2025

For the first time ever, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will host the National Organic Chemistry Symposium (NOS) June 22-26, 2025 at the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center. NOS is the premier event sponsored by the American Chemical Society’s Division of Organic Chemistry.

EMPAC, the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic University, releases complete event info for its buildingwide Shifting Center exhibition, previewed in June and announced in September 2023. Public receptions in Kingston and Troy, the Hudson River itinerary and recommended viewing locations for Ilopango, the Volcano that Left, exhibition tours with the curators, and more, invite audiences to experience sound, sculpture, and moving-image artworks from internationally significant artists throughout the center October 27-29 and November 3-18.

Rensselaer To Host GameFest 2023 on April 29 in Troy

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will host its annual GameFest on Saturday, April 29, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Tech Valley Center of Gravity in downtown Troy. The event, free and open to the public, includes a game expo and design competition.

Grammy-Winning Third Coast Percussion to Perform at RPI

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will present a performance by two-time Grammy-winning ensemble Third Coast Percussion on Saturday, January 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) on campus.
