EMPAC / the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center announces its Research program to host Deep Listening: Creativity, Accessibility, and Well-being with the Center for Deep Listening and the International Symposium on Assistive Technology for Music and Art (ISATMA), September 28-30, 2023.

Michael Century, professor in the Department of Arts at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, will present a full-length concert of visual music at the Ciminelli Recital Hall at Buffalo State University on October 21.

In late March and early April, the Center for Deep Listening at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will hold a series of three online workshops in Deep Listening and well-being that are open to the university community.

Stephanie Loveless has been named the new director of the Center for Deep Listening at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, which stewards the philosophy and practices of sonic awareness pioneered by the late Pauline Oliveros.
