James Hendler Named to Federation of American Scientists COVID-19 Task Force

The Federation of American Scientists has named James Hendler, the Tetherless World Professor of Computer, Web, and Cognitive Sciences and director of the Rensselaer Institute of Data Exploration and Applications at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, to a recently formed COVID-19 Rapid Response Task Force.

Angela Fu Receives Zonta International Women in Business Scholarship

Angela Fu, a third-year, dual degree student in the Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute studying Design, Innovation, and Society with Business Management, has been awarded the Zonta International Foundation Jane M. Klausman Women In Business Scholarship.

More Than 2,000 Degrees To Be Awarded at 214th Commencement Ceremony

This spring, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the first technological research university in the United States, will award a total of 2,099 degrees (124 doctoral degrees, 407 master’s degrees, and 1,568 bachelor’s degrees) to 2,074 students, some of whom have earned multiple degrees.

More Than 25 Rensselaer Students To Graduate From ROTC Programs

This month, more than 25 students from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will graduate from Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) programs. Commissioning signifies the beginning of a student’s active military service. Each student will take an oath of office in his or her respective branch of service in one of three commissioning ceremonies scheduled during the month of May, coinciding with the Virtual Commencement ceremony that will be hosted by the Institute at noon on Saturday, May 23.
