Rensselaer Students Place Second in COVID-19 Computational Challenge

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute students Yueyang Li ’20, Feng Wang ’20, Junxiong Tang ’20, and Tong Chen ’20 took second place in the 2020 COVID-19 Computational Challenge co-hosted by the City of Los Angeles and the Global Association for Research Methods and Data Science (RMDS Lab).

Remote Activation of Cell Signaling Explored in New Article

A perspective piece published online today in Science by Jonathan Dordick, the Howard P. Isermann Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Matthew Brier, who recently earned his doctorate in chemical engineering at Rensselaer, explores the potential of emerging approaches for the remote activation of cell signaling to induce gene expression and the production of specific proteins.

Shira Dentz Publishes Book That Explores Female Aging

A new book by Shira Dentz, a senior lecturer in the Department of Communication and Media in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, was recently published by PANK, a press that “fosters access to emerging and experimental poetry and prose.” Sisyphusina uses prose, poetry, visual art, and other forms of expression to explore female aging.
