Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineering Professor Zvi Rusak Named American Physical Society Fellow

Troy, N.Y. — Zvi Rusak, professor of mechanical, aerospace, and nuclear engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has been named a fellow of the American Physical Society (APS). Rusak was recognized for his contributions to the field of fluid dynamics, including theoretical research that explains various complex fluid flow phenomena and informs the aerodynamic design of aircraft and turbomachinery.

James Hendler, director of the Institute for Data Exploration and Applications (IDEA) and the Tetherless World Professor of Computer, Web and Cognitive Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has been named a fellow by ACM, the world’s leading computing society, “for contributions to artificial intelligence and the development of the semantic web.”
